Canon U.S.A. has introduced four new general flat-panel digital radiography (DR) detectors: CXDI-401C, CXDI-401C Compact, CXDI-401G, and CXDI-401G Compact.
The detectors have been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and feature an approximate 17 x 17-inch imaging area. The CXDI-401C and CXDI-401C Compact panels incorporate a cesium iodide scintillator to minimize radiation exposure to patients during x-ray exams.
The CXDI-401 and CXDI-401 Compact DR systems are scheduled to be available in the second quarter.
