Canon launches RadPro Omnera DR system

Digital imaging firm Canon USA and its subsidiary Virtual Imaging have introduced the RadPro Omnera 400A autopositioning digital radiography (DR) system.

Designed for flexibility, Omnera 400A is the first in a new series of overhead radiography systems aimed at helping clinicians increase workflow and patient throughput in busy patient care settings. Built of aircraft aluminum, the 400A comes with automatic motorized positioning as well as automatic stitching, a tube-mounted 10-inch touchscreen, and a vertical wall stand and table with extended range of motion.

The six-way table can handle a 550-lb patient load and adjusts to a low level for easy patient transfer, while a high table position provides a comfortable working position, Canon said. Fully motorized autopositioning provides servo tracking to both the wall stand and table for precise positioning.

The system also incorporates a high-frequency generator and utilizes Canon's proprietary CXDI control software integrated into the Omnera's operating console, the company said.
