Carestream Health has added its ImageView software platform to its DRX-Revolution mobile x-ray system.
The software uses a Microsoft Windows 10 operating system and was first introduced with the company's OnSight 3D extremity CT scanner. The company plans to further incorporate ImageView across its entire range of offerings, including rooms, retrofits, and any additional mobile x-ray systems.
The software includes a variety of tools, such as Enhanced Visualization Processing Plus, which offers better noise control, sharpness, and contrast; Tube and Line Visualization, which produces clearer images of peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) lines and tubes; Pneumothorax Visualization, which accentuates the appearance of free air in the chest cavity; Bone Suppression, which improves the visualization of soft tissue; and SmartGrid, which helps reduce patient radiation dose for bedside chest imaging.
Finally, the package includes an Administrative Analysis and Reporting software option to help departments improve performance, Carestream said.
