Agfa HealthCare said it will present enhancements to its Musica acquisition workstation and a new digital radiography (DR) system at the 2019 RSNA meeting in December in Chicago.
The acquisition workstation, designed to serve as the "nerve center" for Agfa DR systems, has been upgraded with new capabilities such as Musica Analytics, Musica 3+ for solving challenging imaging issues such as bariatric patient radiography, digital tomosynthesis for multislice image reconstruction, and a deep-learning algorithm that automatically rotates the image as it should be presented to the radiologist, according to the vendor.
In addition, Agfa has incorporated new functionalities such as new dose management capabilities through diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) and extended dose reporting, a full-leg/full-spine (FLFS) anatomic stitching algorithm, compliance with the latest healthcare standards, and support for the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol.
