Swiss imaging software developer Medimaps Group is previewing TBS Reveal, its work-in-progress AI-driven screening software for bone fragility assessment.
TBS Reveal is an AI-powered software leveraging trabecular bone score (TBS) for x-ray scans. It is designed to work seamlessly with conventional x-ray images within the existing PACS workflow. TBS is a proprietary technology, an advanced analytical method that extracts a grey-level texture index from dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) and now from x-rays to assess bone microarchitecture.
Medimaps Group advises that TBS Reveals performance has been validated through external studies using paired DEXA and x-ray data from patients ages 20 and older, demonstrating 90% accuracy, 95% specificity, and 85% AUC.
TBS Reveal is currently pending U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance.
