Mobile P.E.T. orders seven GE cameras

Mobile P.E.T. Systems of San Diego has ordered seven mobile PET cameras from GE Medical Systems of Waukesha, WI, the companies reported today. The order represents GE's first sales for the mobile version of its Advance PET camera.

Mobile P.E.T. Systems placed deposits on three cameras, and took delivery of the first Advance system this month after GE received final regulatory approvals for the product. The unit will be put into service in central Texas in collaboration with the Austin Radiological Association in Austin.

GE and Mobile P.E.T. signed a PET camera supply relationship last year. Mobile P.E.T.'s purchases are secured by lease financing of $12 million from GE, the company said.
