Gamma Medica-Ideas

(Booth 5439) Gamma camera developer Gamma Medica-Ideas of Northridge, CA, will offer its LumaGem molecular breast imaging-based system for RSNA 2007 attendees to view.

LumaGem is available in single- or dual-head configurations, and features solid-state digital detectors utilizing cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) to provide enhanced resolution compared with conventional scintillation camera technology. Single-head systems can be upgraded to dual-head architecture for greater throughput and increased sensitivity.

LumaGem also features 1.6-mm intrinsic resolution, as well as 4.5% energy resolution for improved scatter rejection. LumaGem's gantry is capable of a full range of motion, while the company's patented mounting mechanism allows the use of light breast compression to help clinicians obtain images using any standard mammography view.
