(Booth 7713) Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, is expected to highlight its new Symbia E SPECT camera at the RSNA conference.
Introduced in October 2007, Symbia E represents a redesign of the company's e.cam gamma camera with an enhanced chassis and electronics. The SPECT imager peforms oncology, cardiology, neurology, and general imaging applications, and can be equipped with special positioning pallets for mammography. It also offers a tilting detector for optimized planar imaging.
The system features Siemens' syngo software for image acquisition, processing, and review through an integrated physician worklist and shortened imaging times for cardiology and oncology patients through cardioFlash and oncoFlash reconstruction software packages.
In addition, Symbia E offers the company's c.clear attenuation correction, which was developed on the Siemens c.cam dedicated cardiac SPECT camera.
