Siemens Healthineers rebrands radiopharmaceutical companies

Siemens Healthineers' PET radiopharmaceutical companies PETNet Solutions and Advanced Accelerated Applications (AdAcAp) Molecular Imaging will now be branded under the Siemens Healthineers name.

The two firms will constitute Siemens' radiopharma business segment, with the name change effective immediately and the transition to be completed over the next 12 months, Siemens said. The companies develop, manufacture, and supply PET radiopharmaceuticals such as FDG, as well as Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) products such as Blue Earth Diagnostics’ prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted PET agent Posluma.

Siemens Healthineers acquired AdAcAp Molecular Imaging from Novartis in December 2024, adding its 13 PET radiopharmaceutical manufacturing sites in Europe to PETNet’s network of 47 cyclotron-powered PET radiopharmacies, which are primarily in the U.S. It acquired PETNet in 2006.

With 60 facilities in nine countries, Siemens Healthineers noted that it is the world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of radiopharmaceuticals for PET scans, manufacturing more than 100,000 batches of sterile PET radiopharmaceuticals per year.
