Radioisotope developer MDS Nordion of Kanata, Ontario, announced the sale of its external beam therapy and self-contained irradiator product lines in a move to focus the firm's attention on molecular medicine initiatives.
Radiotherapy and oncology products firm Best Medical International of Springfield, VA, will acquire the two product lines, which have combined annualized revenues of $32 million (U.S.), MDS Nordion said. The transaction is expected to close over the next three months.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
