Chinese medical imaging vendor United Imaging Healthcare is making its official U.S. market debut at RSNA 2018 in Chicago.
The Shanghai-based company markets advanced imaging and radiotherapy equipment, as well as medical IT and intelligent solutions.
Jeffrey Bundy, a former executive of Siemens Healthcare Ultrasound and Siemens Healthineers, was hired as the CEO of the U.S. business in April.
United Imaging announced in mid-November that it had hired medical imaging veteran Hermann Requardt, PhD, as a senior scientific advisor. Requardt was CEO of Siemens Healthcare from 2009 to 2015.
United Imaging built its U.S. headquarters and a wholly owned manufacturing facility in Houston. It expects the manufacturing facility will produce multiple product lines by the end of 2019.
The company has also built R&D centers in Houston, Cleveland, and Concord, CA.
