CMR Molecular Imaging, subsidiary of PET developer Compañía Mexicana de Radiología (CMR) Naviscan, has signed a contract with an Egyptian imaging center network for one of its breast PET systems.
Alfa Scan will install CMR Molecular Imaging's Solo II high-resolution breast PET imaging system with biopsy guidance capability at one of its five sites. Global Technologies, CMR Molecular's representative in Egypt, closed the deal.
Solo II creates tomographic images with a resolution as small as 1.6 mm and features the company's U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared Stereo Navigator PET-guided biopsy tool, CMR Molecular Imaging said.
