Preclinical research developer Magnetic Insight has won an installation of its Momentum magnetic particle imaging (MPI) scanner at the F.M. Kirby Research Center for Functional Brain Imaging at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore.
The scanner will be used in research conducted by principal investigator Jeff Bulte, PhD, from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He will investigate the use of MRI and MPI for stem cell tracking, immunotherapy, tumor hyperthermia, diabetes treatment, gene therapy, and drug delivery, the company said.
