PET manufacturer Positron is set to debut a new PET scanner at next month's Society of Nuclear Medicine meeting in St. Louis. Called mPower, the scanner will feature a 16.6-cm field of view and will be suitable for oncology, neurology, and cardiology applications, according to the Houston-based firm.
The unit broadens the vendor's clinical reach beyond cardiac imaging to support whole-body applications, said John Ariatti, Positron's vice president of sales and marketing. It also includes enhanced software designed to shorten patient scan times and increase asset utilization.
