Vital Imaging Companies buys CTI PET scanners

Imaging center chain Vital Imaging Companies today announced the purchase of three additional PET scanners manufactured by CTI PET Systems, a joint venture between Knoxville, TN-based CTI and Siemens Medical Systems of Iselin, NJ. The ECAT Exact HR+ PET scanners will be placed in facilities in Northern California and Texas, according to Vital Imaging Companies of La Jolla, CA. Last week HealthScan, a Vital Imaging-owned company, also purchased one of the scanners for its La Jolla, CA imaging center.

Vital imaging Companies is not affiliated with 3-D workstation developer Vital Images of Minneapolis.
