Preclinical imaging was the highlight in the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) booth of Gamma Medica-Ideas. The Northridge, CA, company gave SNM attendees their first look at the Flex Triumph system for multimodality small-animal imaging.
Flex Triumph performs PET, SPECT, and CT imaging, and features four detectors versus two detectors on the company's Flex system, according to Patrick Moody, vice president of marketing. A unique feature of the unit is a monitor mounted on top that enables researchers to see images on the system as they form.
The company plans to make an official launch of the system in September, Moody said.
Gamma Medica-Ideas doubled the number of detectors on its Flex Triumph preclinical imaging system. |
Gamma Medica-Ideas also demonstrated a software upgrade for the Flex system that performs image fusion reconstruction in fewer steps.
