TORONTO - Outside of the RSNA meeting, most medical imaging trade shows don't draw hordes of lay press. But this year's SNM conference was an exception as the ongoing crisis over supplies of molybdenum drew Canadian reporters eager to hear nuclear medicine's side of the story.
And the SNM was happy to oblige. The society's annual Image of the Year press conference was mobbed with Canadian journalists, giving Dr. Henry Wagner a bully pulpit to make the case for nuclear medicine's value to a larger audience before disclosing the winners of this year's award.
