A new cyclotron and an upgrade to nuclear medicine workstation software are among the product launches at this week's SNM meeting for GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.
PETtrace 880, the newest entry in GE's cyclotron line, represents the company's most powerful PETtrace cyclotron yet, the vendor said. It offers greater power reliability and an increased production capacity and tracer portfolio. PETtrace 880 can be used for clinical or research applications, the company said.
Also in its radiopharmacy portfolio, GE is launching TracerLab FX E Pro, which has the capability to produce fluorine-18 tracers through an "electrophilic" pathway with a smaller footprint to maximize hot lab utilization, the company said.
Another new product is TracerCenter 710S, an upgradeable product for customers who want to establish their infrastructure platform for radiotracer research, production, or distribution. It produces oncology tracers in its basic configuration, and it can be upgraded to produce tracers for cardiology and neurology. GE is also touting new imaging biomarkers for preclinical imaging.
On the software side, Xeleris 3.0 is the newest generation of GE's molecular imaging workstation. The new version provides remote access and PACS integration via GE's Xeleris floating license (XFL) program, and advanced application tools integrated within Cardiac Myovation and SPECT Volumetrix packages. It also supports simplified workflow for complicated SPECT, PET, CT, and MRI protocols.
