A weak fourth quarter in its products division resulted in lower revenue for nuclear medicine firm Digirad in 2011.
Total revenue for fiscal 2011 (end-December 31) declined to $53.7 million, down 4% compared with $56.2 million in 2010. The company's net loss improved to $3.3 million, compared with a net loss of $6.2 million in 2010. Product revenue for 2011 was $16 million, compared with $16.6 million in 2010.
In the fourth quarter, revenue decreased to $11.9 million, down 19% compared with $14.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2010. The net loss for the fourth quarter was $2.8 million, compared with a net loss of $600,000 in the same quarter a year ago. Product revenue in the fourth quarter dropped to $2.9 million, compared with $5.2 million in 2010's fourth quarter.
