Radiopharmaceutical provider Ion Beam Applications (IBA) has signed a formal contract with Zevacor Molecular for the installation of its Cyclone 70 in the U.S.
This will be the first commercial 70-MeV cyclotron dedicated to radiopharmaceutical production in the country. The installation of the system is worth between $16 million and $20 million, IBA said.
The Cyclone 70 system is expected to be operational in the second half of 2016.
