The Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) has hired a new director of PET industry policy.
Terri Wilson will lead both the MITA PET Group and the MITA Molecular Imaging Section.
Prior to joining MITA, Wilson held various roles within the nuclear medicine and PET community, most recently as director of coverage and payment policy for Cardinal Health. She began her career as a technologist in a community hospital in Columbia, MO, before opening and managing a freestanding PET facility, MITA said.
She spent several years in sales for radiopharmaceuticals and PET/CT scanners with Siemens Healthcare and PETNet Solutions before transitioning to radiopharmaceutical product management and reimbursement. During this time, she also served as MITA's PET coverage committee chair and, through the committee's work, helped improve the national coverage determination (NCD) for Medicare coverage of PET imaging.
