Faxitron Bioptics and Cokiya have announced an agreement that names Faxitron the exclusive worldwide distributor of Cokiya's TruNode single-use surgical gamma probe
TruNode is fully sterile and designed for common, radioguided surgical procedures, with 10% energy resolution, three modes of detection, and a small operative element, the companies said.
Other features include the following:
- Fingertip control from the sterile field, including switching between high-sensitivity scan, high-resolution point, and iodine-125 (I-125) seed modes
- Heuristic audio feedback
- Voice reporting of count rate
- Compact user feedback unit (UFU) that is rechargeable and mounts to an IV pole
