GE Healthcare has inked a 14-year imaging managed equipment service contract with Heritage Valley Health System, an integrated delivery network based in Pittsburgh.
Under the deal, GE will initially provide new MRI and CT scanners for Heritage Valley Beaver and Heritage Valley Sewickley hospitals, as well as new ultrasound technology for Heritage Valley's hospital and neighborhood locations. In addition, the vendor will add nuclear imaging cameras and implement upgrades to an existing GE CT scanner. Heritage Valley currently serves more than 167,000 patients in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
The managed equipment service contract is the first in the U.S. and second in North America for GE.
