Dear AuntMinnie Member,
Do you know someone who deserves a Minnie award for contributing to the field of radiology? Then nominate him or her today!
The Minnies are radiology's premier awards event, recognizing excellence in 15 categories, from Most Influential Radiology Researcher to Best Radiology Image. In between, you'll find categories acknowledging educators, devices, software, companies, and more.
But the Minnies wouldn't be what they are without your help. We're asking our members to participate in the nomination process by filling out a short survey. After that, we'll have our expert panel pick the winners through two rounds of voting.
So get started today at minnies.auntminnie.com, and help us select the best in radiology!
News from AHRA 2016
The AHRA's annual meeting is underway this week in Nashville, TN, and we're featuring two articles on presentations scheduled for the show.
In the first, we offer tips on how your imaging facility can prepare for visits by the Joint Commission under the new accreditation standards published last year for diagnostic imaging facilities. Click here for that article.
Another article addresses the changing face of breast screening as new imaging technologies catch on. Modalities such as digital breast tomosynthesis, molecular breast imaging (MBI), and breast MRI -- to name just a few -- offer new capabilities, but they also present challenges to screening sites that have to figure out which technique to use in what situation. Get some guidance by clicking here.
MBI for breast screening
We take a deeper dive into one of those technologies, MBI, in a new article in our Women's Imaging Community. Researchers from Ohio found MBI to be a good supplemental modality for screening women with dense breast tissue. Find out why by clicking here, or visit the community at women.auntminnie.com.
