Bruker is unveiling two new preclinical imaging systems this week at the World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC) in New York City.
The scanners are designed for routine imaging as well as novel translational research into the causes, progression, and treatment of disease, Bruker said.
The SkyScan 1276 microCT scanner features enhanced resolution, speed, and accessibility for scanning small laboratory animals and biological samples in preclinical studies, according to the company.
Bruker's work-in-progress silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) PET insert is designed for simultaneous PET/MRI investigations in mice and rats. The insert is compatible with MRI systems up to 15.2 tesla and allows simultaneous measurements of PET and MRI data to examine tracer kinetics, therapeutic agent distribution, and animal physiology.
