Bruker said it has signed an agreement to acquire the preclinical imaging business of Spanish medical technology developer Oncovision. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The two companies have collaborated in the past, such as on the development of the Albira Si PET/SPECT/CT system with silicon photomultiplier technology for enhanced full field-of-view PET resolution and sensitivity.
As part of the deal, Oncovision will keep its clinical human imaging business, which features Mammi-PET, a dedicated breast PET device, Bruker said.
The companies expect to complete the deal late in the fourth quarter, subject to closing conditions.
