Toshiba releases upgrades to Celesteion PET/CT

Toshiba Medical has released an upgraded version of its Celesteion PET/CT system.

Celesteion PureVision Edition features a 16-row CT detector, 70-cm field-of-view, and a 90-cm bore. It offers Toshiba Medical's SureFlight reconstruction technology, which includes point spread function and time-of-flight techniques, as well as its single-energy metal artifact reduction (SEMAR) technology, which reduces artifacts caused by metal implants.

Toshiba plans to highlight Celesteion PureVision Edition PET/CT at the upcoming Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) meeting in Denver, the company said.
