Molecular imaging developer MILabs has installed a preclinical micro-CT scanner in the department of radiology at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn).
The U-CTUHR micro-CT system will complement PET and SPECT imaging at the university's Small Animal Imaging Facility (SAIF), the company said.
The MILabs U-CTUHR device features low-dose imaging at ultrahigh spatial resolution and adaptive x-ray CT technology designed to handle a broad range of in vivo imaging applications and animal sizes. The system's large bore size and long axial scan range enable imaging of entire mice, rats, and rabbits.
