Proton therapy developer Ion Beam Applications (IBA) will install its Cyclone 70 multiparticle cyclotron for Arizona Isotope Science Research (AZI).
AZI plans to use Cyclone 70 to generate strontium-82 (Sr-82), which is the radioactive agent for strontium-rubidium radioisotopes used in cardiac PET imaging. The contract has a value ranging from $16 million to $20 million, according to IBA.
