Canon Medical Systems has updated its Celesteion PET/CT scanner software with new acquisition features and image reconstruction techniques.
The updated acquisition features include PET electrocardiogram-gated scanning, PET respiratory gating for whole-body PET scans, and variable bed time (vBT), allowing clinicians to adjust scan time and acquisition mode for each bed position.
Celesteion PET/CT scanners will also be equipped with two new reconstruction techniques for reducing image noise and metal artifacts: clear adaptive low-noise method (CaLM) +PSF and single-energy metal artifact reduction (SEMAR).
