Lantheus CMO set to retire

Lantheus Holdings, parent company of Lantheus Medical Imaging, announced that its chief medical officer (CMO), Dr. Cesare Orlandi, will retire on September 2.

Having served as CMO since 2013, Orlandi will continue to work in a full-time capacity until the scheduled retirement date. The company plans to begin a search for Orlandi's successor.

Lantheus also announced the promotion of its senior vice president of technical operations, John Bolla, to the newly created position of chief operations officer. He will head the company's technical operations, engineering and facilities, environment, health and safety, human resources, and information technology organizations, as well as oversee the Puerto Rico business unit.

Bolla's prior experience spans 20 years of service in various senior leadership roles at pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline, including as vice president of the company's North American supply chain department.
