Nuclear medicine equipment and services firm Digirad has entered into an agreement to sell its mobile imaging division DMS Health Technologies to Knob Creek Acquisition of Tennessee for $18.8 million.
Net proceeds from the sale, which is expected to close in January 2021, will be used to fund Digirad's HoldCo growth strategy, which calls for the company to transition into being a diversified holding company. The funds will also be used to pay down debt, according to the company.
DMS Health provides mobile CT, MRI, and PET services to hospitals, and generated revenue of $41.3 million, approximately 40% of the sales of the company's Healthcare business.
