For the second year in a row, the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) will be holding its annual conference as a virtual event, due to concerns about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The group on January 30 issued a statement that it had made the decision to transition SNMMI 2021 to a fully virtual event. The conference had been scheduled to take place in Washington, DC, June 11-14. The SNMMI also held its 2020 congress virtually.
The group cited the success of the 2020 conference, as well as other virtual events it has held over the past year, as influencing its decision to make this year's conference fully virtual.
