Dutch imaging vendor Pie Medical Imaging will showcase the new release of its CAAS magnetic resonance ventricular analysis software (CAAS MRV) at the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) this week in San Francisco.
The CAAS MRV software offers functional analysis of cine MR images of the heart, providing automatic segmentation of the endocardial and epicardial ventricular wall on all short-axis images, both in time and space, according to the Maastricht, Netherlands-based Pie. In the new release, the CAAS MRV cardiac functional analysis package has been extended to include functionalities to perform viability studies, the company said.
The new iteration features improved automatic segmentation, automatic torsion and through-plane motion correction, and interactive 3D visualization of results. Additionally, images from all MRI scanner vendors are supported, and integrated PACS functionality is an option, the vendor said.
