MRI vendor Fonar of Melville, NY, said its revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 2005 (end-December 31) rose 65% to $29.5 million, up from $17.9 million in the same quarter last year.
The firm reported net income for the quarter of $1.2 million, a sharp turnaround compared with a net loss of $2.6 million for the same period in fiscal 2004. The company attributed the growth to an increase in sales of its Upright MRI scanner, as well as increased service and repair fees.
