Toshiba America Medical Systems introduced the Vantage CGV cardiac configuration for its Excelart Vantage 1.5-tesla MRI system at this week's American College of Cardiology (ACC) meeting in Orlando, FL.
Based on the Vantage XGV platform, Vantage CGV features gradient strength of 30 mT/m and a slew rate of 130 mT/m/msec for advanced cardiac MRI exams.
The new system includes eight-channel radiofrequency (RF) electronic components, Toshiba's cardiac/torso Speeder coil, and software packages that include respiratory, peripheral pulse, and cardiac gating. It also enables freeze-frame imaging and other advanced MR features.
In addition, the system incorporates a PC-based workstation and an in-room gating monitor mounted to the gantry for evaluating the cardiac cycle while positioning the patient, according to Tustin, CA-based Toshiba.
