GE Healthcare reported that Michael Wood, a former academic researcher and GE business manager, has been promoted to the newly created position of general manager of research collaborations for the Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based company's global MR business.
In his new role, Wood will work with researchers to expand clinical MRI applications, GE said. Wood was most recently manager of the firm's global 1.5-tesla MRI product line. He will report to John Chiminski, who was recently promoted to the position of vice president and general manager of the company's global MR business.
