Canadian image-guided therapy provider IMRIS reported gains in both revenue and net income for the fourth quarter of 2010 (end-December 31).
Sales for the quarter were $25.2 million ($25.5 million U.S.), an increase of 26% compared with Q4 2009. The company reported net earnings of $1.7 million ($1.7 million U.S.), compared with net earnings of $418,000 ($423,000 U.S.) from the same quarter of the prior year.
Sales for the year climbed by 62% to $71.8 million ($72.6 million U.S.), which the company attributed to increased system deliveries and higher average revenue per system. Its revenue from system installations outside North America increased by 19.5% in 2010 from 2009, reflecting a corporate strategy of geographic diversification, the company said.
