IMRIS reports 2011 Q1 results

Image-guided therapy developer IMRIS posted lower revenue and an increased net loss for its first quarter of 2011 (end-March 31).

The company's first-quarter revenue was $11.1 million, down 8.3% compared to $12.1 million in 2010. IMRIS attributed the decrease to fewer installations in the first quarter versus the same period in 2010.

The firm's net loss was $4.6 million, up 54% compared to a net loss of $2.1 million for the same period last year. The increased net loss reflects the year-over-year increase in operating loss, IMRIS said.
