Philips Healthcare has received a contract from the U.S. Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) for two mobile MRI scanners to help diagnose and treat traumatic brain injury in soldiers in Afghanistan.
The scanner purchase is a joint initiative between NMLC's technical and operational partners, including the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, the Army Medical Materiel Agency, the Chief of Mobility Command, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Army's Rapid Equipping Force.
