MRI software company Acuitas Medical of Swansea, U.K., has secured a second round of investment funding to aid development of its MRI technology.
The latest round is the company's second in the last two years. Acuitas will use an undisclosed amount of funding from Finance Wales to undertake further clinical validation and product development of its fineSA software prior to full commercialization, along with quality assurance and regulatory processes.
fineSA can pinpoint the early signs of disease by measuring the fine structural changes that are early markets for disease, according to Acuitas. In addition, fineSA doesn't need any additional hardware so it can be installed on any MRI system.
