Ultrasound and musculoskeletal MRI firm Esaote has completed the first installation of its G-scan Brio MRI system in the U.S. at the Clinica Venamer in Miami.
G-scan Brio is an open musculoskeletal MRI system that scans patients in both standing and supine positions. In addition to eliminating claustrophobia fears, imaging patients with symptoms in the back and/or lower extremities in the standing position allows radiologists to see the effect of gravity and the resulting compression in the spine.
The scanner also features the company's new eXP technology designed to reduce imaging times by as much as 40%, according to Esaote North America.
