MRI services provider Smart Choice MRI has received an investment of $7 million from Edward-Elmhurst Health.
The funds are expected to help Smart Choice MRI expand to five new imaging clinics in the Chicago area, beginning in the fall with Bolingbrook, Oswego, and Lombard, as well as future growth into Minneapolis.
The company currently has three clinics -- in Schaumburg, Glenview, and Skokie, IL -- and another facility scheduled to open in downtown Chicago in July. Smart Choice MRI also supports six Wisconsin clinics.
Edward-Elmhurst Health doctors will continue to make referrals to Smart Choice MRI, which provides MRI scans for an all-inclusive fee of $600 or less.
