Fujitsu Frontech North America said that MRI testing facility Magnetic Resonance Safety Testing Services (MRSTS) has confirmed that its WT-A53x and WT-A52x families of ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) radiofrequency identification (RFID) linen tags are suitable for use in MRI facilities.
Based on the testing, MRSTS recommended that the UHF RFID linen tags be labeled as "MR conditional" at 1.5- and 3-tesla MRI, which is the highest rating that can be applied for an RFID device, according to Fujitsu.
