Royal Philips, parent company of Philips Healthcare, plans to launch a suite of new MR software applications for neurology at the upcoming RSNA 2016 meeting.
The new software will be integrated into the company's Ingenia family of MR units and will use Philips' dStream digital broadband architecture technology. The software includes black blood imaging, which provides a high-resolution 3D brain image with reduction of the blood signal; 4D-Trance, which offers contrast-free dynamic 4D imaging of the brain's vascular anatomy; and MultiBand Sense, which allows for simultaneous acquisition of multiple slices in the brain in functional MRI exams, Philips said.
These neurology applications will also be integrated into the company's IntelliSpace Portal, an upgraded version of which will be highlighted at the meeting.
