MRI Interventions revenues climb in Q1

An increase in sales from its ClearPoint disposable product helped MRI Interventions to a 44% increase in revenues in its first quarter.

In preliminary results for the period (end-March 31), MRI Interventions had total revenues of $2 million, up from $1.4 million in the first quarter of 2016. The company had $1.7 million in ClearPoint disposable product sales, up 51% from the $1.1 million recorded in the same period a year ago. MRI Interventions attributed the growth primarily to a record number of 146 ClearPoint procedures performed during the quarter.

The company did not provide profitability figures in its preliminary results. It plans to report its full quarterly financial results near the end of this month.
