Siemens Healthineers has completed the first U.S. installation of its 1.5-tesla Magnetom Sola MRI scanner at a Texas imaging center.
South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers in San Antonio became the first U.S. healthcare facility to install the scanner, which features a new magnet design and patient personalization technology from BioMatrix.
The BioMatrix technology helps deliver consistent results for each patient, taking into account anatomical and physiological differences as well as user variability, Siemens said. The scanner also features Turbo Suite, which increases throughput of routine scans by up to 50%, according to the company.
