MRI simulation software company ScanLabMR said that its simulator studies will now be accepted as required hours for students pursuing their MRI technologist certification.
The company said the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) Board of Directors voted to accept two successful simulator studies for one MRI clinical hour, up to 25% or 250 MRI clinical hours of the required 1,000 MRI clinical hours.
The ARMRIT board will be working on the details for publication in its eligibility requirements in the next few months, the company added.
