Insightec, Vattikuti Foundation ink partnership

MR-guided ultrasound developer Insightec and the Vattikuti Foundation have inked a partnership with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi, India, to explore ways to improve the current treatment of essential tremor and Parkinson's disease.

The collaboration will also explore the potential for expanding the use of Insightec's Exablate technology for the treatment of other neurological disorders, according to the firm.

Earlier this month, the Southfield, MI-based Vattikuti Foundation donated one of Insightec's MR-Guided focused ultrasound systems to AIIMS, Insightec said.
