Brain cancer research grants available

The National Brain Tumor Foundation is now accepting applications from U.S.- and Canada-based researchers for its 2002 grant funding cycle. The deadline for applications is February 1, 2002; recipients will be notified in late June.

A new award this year is the $10,000 Radiation Therapy grant, which provides funding for research on the effectiveness of radiation in treating brain tumors, and for new types of radiation. Other grants include the $100,000 North American Brain Tumor Consortium (NABTC) and New Approaches to Brain Tumor Therapy (NABTT).
